Selecting a wireless mouse

This post is generated for P*n based on P*n's needs

In selecting a good mouse, the key is to have a good idea on why you need this? Is it for mobility? Ergonomics? Or just hate dealing with the wires?
The wired mice are definitely more reliable (and more sensitivie too). But the wireless does offer the convenience.
The standard methods of wireless connectivity (between the computer and the mouse) is Bluetooth and RF. RF is the preferred method (as bluetooth connectivity may be patchy sometimes). For RF connectivity, keep in mind that the receiver will have to be plugged into one of the USB ports.
Here's an interesting article that gives a little bit color on the diferent types of "grips". Gives you a good idea of what you may have to look for.
Regarding the choices, here are a couple you can consider

Logitech Marathon : Seems to be the popular choice in various tests (PC Mag, Wirecutter etc.). The long battery life, the build quality, various conveniently located buttons (and the ability to customize them) seem to be the winning factors.
Logitech M280
This is a mouse in the "budget" category. It has a lot of the features of the more advanced range. But the build quality and the number of butttons are lesser. But it's a very good choice for the price point.
If you are particular about how the mouse feels, it is better you try it in store. The choice may vary from person to person.
If you need help narrowing it down further, please let us know and we can help take it further.
